Cattery re-opening for homing Saturday 14th May 2016
During the ‘closure’ we were able to find new homes for 66 cats through our satellite centre at Pets at Home in Newbury and Falkland Veterinary Clinic gave us exclusive use of their boarding cattery for three months, for which we are very grateful.
For the first few weeks we shall be concentrating our efforts wholly on finding new homes for the cats that over the last few months have been waiting patiently for our help. In order to do this we are respectfully asking that If you wish to visit our new cattery but aren’t looking to give a cat a home, that you delay your visit until our Open Day which will be held on 18th June this year, we look forward to seeing you all there and showing off the new facilities.
Thank you for you patience.
Hello from all of us here at Newbury Adoption Centre. Our branch has been rescuing and re-homing cats since 1965.
In 1994, thanks to the kindness of the branch's founder Mrs Irene Earnshaw, we were able to open a 42 pen Adoption Centre and continue her good work in her memory.
2014 saw the opening of Cats Protections first 'satellite centre' at Pets at Home in Newbury, which enabled us to achieve a record of 590 homes found for cats and kittens in our care.
Early 2016, due to the kindness of a supporter we were able to replace the 20+ year old cattery with larger, cat pens, including a purpose built Isolation unit
We would love you to come and meet the fabulous cats we currently have available for homing - Click here to see their details.
