Cattery rebuild 20th December 2015 to 21 April 2016
**Please note we are still running a waiting list and taking in cats**
Our cattery is to be replaced with new up to date, modular cat pens. In order for this to happen we have to close our cattery at Curridge temporarily. We shall be closing the cattery from 20th December. All being well, we shall be up and running again by the end of April.
During this period, we shall be operating at a much smaller capacity. Our reception and phone lines will still be open for advice and assistance. We will continue to home through our Homing Centre at Pets at Home in Newbury and Falkland Veterinary Surgery have very kindly offered us the use of their small cattery. We will continue with our waiting list, and will be working with our local branches and other Adoption Centres, but as you can imagine we may not be able to help as many cats as we usually would during this period. However we will of course try our best to help every cat in need and keep waiting times as low as we can.
Hello from all of us here at Newbury Adoption Centre. Our branch has been rescuing and re-homing cats since 1965. In 1994, thanks to the kindness of the branch's founder Mrs Irene Earnshaw, we were able to open a purpose built 42 pen Adoption Centre. 2014 saw the opening of Cats Protections first 'satellite centre' at Pets at Home in Newbury, which enabled us to achieve a record of 590 cats and kittens finding new homes.
We would love you to come and meet the fabulous cats we currently have available for homing - Click here to see their details.
